Why most options fall short

Cloud baby monitors leak. A lot.

Major hardware baby monitors have been hacked repeatedly. Strangers have spoken to babies through compromised cameras. If your video lives on a vendor's server, that vendor — or its attackers — can see it.

Subscriptions on a baby monitor feel wrong

Hardware monitors cost $100–$300, then ask for monthly cloud subscription on top. Spending $300+ per year just to see your own baby is absurd.

Most apps require an account and email

You shouldn't need to hand over your phone number, email, and a password just to glance at the crib from another room.

Why Call Pet works for baby monitor app

01

End-to-end encrypted, never touches a server

WebRTC peer-to-peer with X25519 + AES-GCM. Encryption keys are generated on your phones and never leave them. Even Call Pet's developers cannot decrypt your stream.

02

Free basic monitoring, optional Pro benefits

Free download with basic monitoring. Premium features are optional through Pro membership, and membership benefits can also be earned through in-app tasks including optional rewarded ads.

03

No account, no email, no signup

Pair the two phones by scanning a QR code. That's the entire onboarding. Zero personal data collected.

04

Two-way audio — talk to baby, hear baby

Soothe your baby with your voice from another room without going in. Hear the cry the moment it starts.

05

Spare-phone friendly, screen off, auto-reconnect

The spare phone keeps its screen off in monitor mode (low power), and reconnects automatically if the network drops at night.

Set up in 5 steps

About 30 seconds. No account needed at any step.

  1. 1

Install Call Pet on two phones

Your main iPhone (the viewer) and a spare phone (the camera in the nursery). The spare phone can be iOS or Android.

  2. 2

Open Call Pet on your main phone, choose Controller

A QR code will appear on screen.

  3. 3

Open Call Pet on the nursery phone, choose Monitor

Use it to scan the QR code on your main phone.

  4. 4

  5. 5

    Watch from anywhere

Open Call Pet on your main phone — live encrypted video starts instantly. Two-way audio is one tap away.

Frequently asked

Will Call Pet wake my baby with notification sounds? +

No. The Monitor phone keeps its screen off and doesn't make sounds. Only the Controller phone (with you) shows the live view.

Can I use Call Pet without WiFi, on cellular only? +

Yes. Both phones can be on different networks (one on WiFi, one on cellular). For lowest latency and zero data cost, put both on the same WiFi.

Is the audio quality good enough to hear soft baby breathing? +

Yes. Audio is uncompressed within the encrypted stream. Place the spare phone within 1–2 meters of the crib for best sensitivity.

What if the network drops in the middle of the night? +

Call Pet auto-reconnects when the network is back. You'll see the live view resume without doing anything.

Is this safer than a hardware baby monitor like Nanit, Owlet, or Eufy? +

From a privacy-leak standpoint, yes — those devices route video through vendor servers. Call Pet uses end-to-end encryption with no server in the loop. From a hardware-monitoring standpoint (breathing pads, etc.), hardware monitors offer features Call Pet doesn't.

End-to-end encrypted baby monitoring. Use a phone you already own. Basic monitoring is free.
