How can I watch my dog while I'm at work?

Use a compatible iPhone, iPad or Android device for either role. Apple devices require iOS/iPadOS 15 or later; the full Android app requires Android 7.0 or later. Install the full app on the device you take with you, select Controller, and scan the home Monitor’s QR code. The earlier camera-only app is still available for existing users.

Aim the camera at the area your dog uses most, keep it stable, and route the charging cable away from chewing or pulling. Check the room lighting and power. Leave Call Pet in the foreground on the unlocked home device; its dark standby screen is not a system lock.

Before leaving, switch the Controller to cellular data or another available network and open the live view. This tests a connection from outside the home Wi-Fi. After pairing, auto-answer means nobody at home needs to accept each connection.

Yes, Call Pet is not limited to two devices on the same Wi-Fi. The home Monitor and your Controller both need internet access. Wi-Fi or cellular data can work when the networks allow the live media connection.

Open the paired Monitor in Call Pet on your Controller to check the live picture and sound. A work network may block the connection. If your workplace permits it, try cellular data or another permitted network; do not assume every office network will work. Long video sessions can use substantial mobile data.

Use two-way audio for a brief voice check-in. With Pro on the Controller and supported devices, two-way video can also show your face on the home screen. Start with a short call and observe your dog’s response.

Some dogs respond to familiar voices or screen movement; others ignore them or become more excited. Call Pet lets you observe and interact, but it does not promise to treat separation anxiety or replace in-person care.

Check that the Controller has internet access. For the home device, check power, internet access, camera and microphone permissions, and whether Call Pet is still open in the foreground on an unlocked screen. Test those conditions before each long absence.

If the network recovers, try opening the paired Monitor again. If the home device is locked, out of power, or offline, someone may need to check it in person. Do not rely on guaranteed automatic recovery or use the app as emergency monitoring.
