You can't take your cat to work
When you are away, live video can show whether your cat is resting, eating, playing, or needs attention.
Dedicated pet cameras add hardware, and some add cloud storage
Dedicated pet cameras require separate hardware, and some offer paid cloud features. Storage and retention vary by product and plan, so check each vendor's current public terms.
Pet-camera apps use different account and advertising models
Account and advertising models vary among pet-camera apps. Review each app's current plan details if uninterrupted viewing or account-free setup matters to you.
Why Call Pet works for cat camera app
01
Free basic monitoring, optional Pro, no Call Pet account
Pair via QR code and start watching. Premium features are optional, and membership benefits can also be earned through in-app tasks including optional rewarded ads.
02
Direct, encrypted media between paired devices
Media connects directly over WebRTC P2P with no TURN or media relay. WebRTC DTLS/SRTP protects audio and video; X25519 + AES-256-GCM protects control and signaling. Call Pet servers do not receive the media.
03
Two-way audio — talk to your cat
Catch them on the counter and 'pssst' them off. Or just say hi. Cats often recognize their owner's voice.
04
Reuse the iPhone in your drawer
An iPhone or iPad running iOS/iPadOS 13 or later can be a Monitor. A compatible Android device can also be used as the Monitor only.
05
Auto-reconnect, dim standby
Keep Call Pet in the Monitor's foreground standby page and plug in the device. Its display can be darkened or dimmed, but it must not be locked or moved to the background.

Frequently asked
Does Call Pet drain my old iPhone battery quickly? +
Camera and network use consume power. Keep the Monitor plugged in with Call Pet in the foreground standby page; lower the display brightness if needed, but do not lock the device or move the app to the background.
Will the cat be bothered by Call Pet? +
The Monitor can use a dark, low-brightness standby page. It normally plays your voice only when you start two-way audio, but individual pets may still notice the device, screen, or sounds.
Can I monitor multiple cats in different rooms? +
Currently Call Pet pairs one Controller to one Monitor at a time. For multiple rooms, use multiple spare phones and switch between them.
Will Call Pet work when I'm traveling abroad? +
Remote viewing works when both networks permit a direct WebRTC P2P connection. Because Call Pet has no TURN/media relay, some restrictive hotel, carrier, NAT, or firewall networks may block the connection.
